When we first met at a party 20+ years ago we thought there was no way we would ever be friends. Well, here we are!

Over cocktails one night our friends said we were like Dolly Pardon and Dalai Lama. Yes, one of us is a little more of a put-together 'Barbie' and the other a bit more of a free-spirited, travel-loving 'Hippie'. That is what makes us and our show great for our listeners.

Listen as we dive into topics like being middle-aged and single, sex, dating disasters, aging, our bodies, traveling, relationships, business, and more.

    The Movie Theater Incident

    The Movie Theater Incident

When Dalai got almost a million views and thousands of comments on a Tik Tok video, she noticed two things.

    1. Very few people read captions.

    2. People were confusing fear based on past trauma with racism.

This episode is all about the importance of listening, not judging others based on your own trauma, or generational trauma, fear, racism and how one split decision can have a major impact!

Grab some popcorn.  You'll need it for this potentially controversial episode.

    Is Dating Just a Distraction?

    Is Dating Just a Distraction?

At this age, is dating just a distraction?  We, as usual, are not in total agreement on this topic and talk about why, and so much more in. this episode. What we do agree on is that when you. do choose to date as a single middle-aged woman it can be both exciting and challenging. It's a time to rediscover yourself and what you want in a relationship. Here are a few tips to help you navigate the dating world as a single middle aged woman:

Be clear about your goals and what you're looking for in a partner.
Take care of yourself, both physically and emotionally. This will increase your confidence!
Try new things and expand your social circle. This can increase the chances of meeting someone who shares your interests.
Be open to different types of relationships, including casual dating and long-term commitments.
Be honest about your age and lifestyle. This is KEY!
Remember, desperate isn't sexy and it leads to accepting crumbs!  (more on that in this episode)

The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the process of getting to know new people.

    Good luck!
